News broadcast this morning said they launched 280 cruisers on day one. What a mistake. These Arabs are the same as are in Israel, Egypt, etc., and they simply are not the problem (yet). It's one man. I am sick that we are bragging about blowing up empty military buildings at $1million each. 4-star generals on CNN showing stills and film of your tax dollar being poured into the sand. Beaming with pride. This is not good for the morale of our troops, either. Where's the fight? We're shooting fish in a barrel. One of the bragging generals on CNN today showed a tomcat "attacking" a building with a smart bomb. Attacking! A $50M jet fighter with a million-dollar bomb cannot attack an empty building. Please. But that's the American mentality these days. We're in trouble. Imagine the knee-slapping reaction of Saddam and company in their bunker when they watch that sort of thing on CNN. They've got girls, microwave popcorn, and tea, and the best possible entertainment on CNN. Saddam and company are simply lying on the ropes, a la rope-a-dope. What are we gonna do when the smoke clears, ask Saddam, "pretty please, can we look for weapons now? Huh, huh, can we, pleeeeeeeze? We'll be good this time Mr. Hussein, we promise.” We're gonna have to put troops on the ground to draw out their "evil" so we can commit wholesale slaughter on it with A-10's. Arabs around the world will hate us (you know what that means), but they already do. Let the PLO set up a new government there. As it is, Saddam is the man. Indeed, the "Desert Fox". I hope Bush steps forward and admits his mistake and encourages us to finish it this time. I remember watching the parade down the canyon of heroes in 1992, and thinking, what's up with this? There was no victory then. The guy who killed all of our troops was running around free. Ever since Korea, this country has not been a finisher. We go in and throw $billions on them (in ordinance) because we're rich and think that's all we need to do. Wrong. Go in there and get the SOB, or let him be Israel's problem. We know what they'll do. Somebody's gonna have to get their hands dirty. As it is, this deal is out of control. Did you hear one of the retired generals (analysts) yesterday say we'd destroy (nuke) Iraq if Saddam used anthrax on us? That makes a lot of sense. By the way, even if Clinton went in there and personally shot that SOB in the head, everybody would say he only did it to save his own hide. He simply has to go. We will not have a legitimate government until Clinton resigns.
