Earl, Thanks for the tip. You mentioned a while back that beans would be down into Jan. So far that has been a good call. I got long beans again twice in the last week, only to take modest losses. I'll have to look at the charts. Cash hogs in my area are 10 cents a pound! Maybe some day soon I will not have to pay 1.79 per pound in store. NOT! Over the course of this hog bear market, I too have noticed the HUGE discrepancy between cash/futures prices and the retail price. Can I assume then that the processors/wholesalers/middelmen (help me out here, I'm not sure if I'm using the proper terminology) are the ones making huge profits, just because they're able to buy dirt cheap and sell into a seemingly controlled retail pork market? Or, has the glut that has hit the physical market not yet spilled over into the retail market... and falling retail pork prices are just around the corner? Your thoughts on this are appreciated... talk to you later Regards, Frank
