Funk,
Thanks for sharing. However, you haven't convined me. I respectfully disagree with anyone's assesment that the present executions via ARCA are the same as they were either earlier in the year or last year. Granted, your given example worked well and, believe me, I am happy for you. I certainly don't wish ill for my daytrading brethren. However, perhaps it is an anomoly rather than a consistency with regard to ARCA's executions. Too often ARCA executions are way too slow. I understand your point about picking and choosing when to use ARCA. If you'll allow me to be so bold, let me say that unfortunately many of your daytrading colleagues have come to the point where we find ARCA's usefulness lacking in today's environment. Again, I reiterate, ARCA has its moments, but it is certainly not the ECN it once was. I was only trying to convey that sentiment. It saddens me to see how ARCA has degraded so rapidly. I am sure that for slow moving stocks, ARCA may still be effective. However, I am sorry to say that ARCA now is too slow to use and often ineffective to use frequently.

Best wishes over the holidays to you and yours.

Regards,
SH
