The trouble remains, you CAN rest assured that they don't think a bad thing has been done. Obviously, that's VERY wishful thinking on your part- however pathetic the results seem to you. Perhaps it's more pathetic to you that they WOULDN"T think a bad thing has been done. That IS the reality. Just ask 'em. I still say it was a civil action between citizens in which he lied. His lies damaged another citizen, a woman. This is a truly horrible thing to do. And it's perjury against this citizen in court. A President just cant' do this. YUCK! To allow that to happen, just to save himself over a petty matter the likes of which he'd been forgiven for and elected in spite of, is unforgivable. This is not Goverment as sex police, it is the right response for a criminal act by a President against a citizen. Who can honestly argue that his denials didn't have a certain and strong effect on the Life of Paula Jones- not to mention Lewinsky, whom he also called a liar. And Flowers? naw, forget about her! He admitted that long ago- yeah, her 17 year affair vs his "one time." This is like his drug tale- "I've experminted with drugs SEVERAL times." plus on separate occasion "...I never inhaled... I didn't like it." How any of you can trust in his honesty on any of these issues is mind-boggling to me. How you cannot care about his willingness to damage other citizens over his own sexual weaknesses, is beyond the beyond to me. When it comes to falsely harming another citizen VS. losing face to the truth, a President simply must fess-up. He'd been through getting caught lying before. He fessed up when caught. This time it wound up in court and he lied again. He chose to lie. He continues to deny that he lied since he knows the legal consequences of confession. History can't help but see clearly the stench arising from his acts.
