nic, The GSN folks are promoting are their own bundled technology. I haven't memorized the details yet, but I think they probably offer advantages in latency as well as throughput: hnf.org In my conversations with an Ancor engineer he emphasized bus size, complexity, and industry support as limiting factors for HIPPI. If you look at the GSN site - there are only 11 principle companies ( some of them are very small) and one national lab. I think there might be a market for a low latency FC adapter. Why isn't anybody working on it? George D.
