Of course, if a question is deemed to not be material you don't have to answer it at all. For that matter why didn't Bill take the Fifth? I still stand by my statement that a president who lies under oath has demonstrated his utter contempt for the institutions he is charged with protecting, and thus his obvious unsuitability for the office. One cannot violate the law and at the same time uphold it.
