He's resigning to set an example for Clinton. The Democrats were scrambling to try to get Livingston to stay. Every teenager needs to have concrete examples set for him in order to learn about responsibility.

Hi Melinda,

I think we are all being manipulated by the powers behind the scenes
that want to step into the vacuum created by the chaos..

I think it is the far right and the military-industrial complex that can see their power base slipping away after the cold war.. The Iraqi bombing is a tragedy that was completely unneeded.
A action that was forced on Clinton, by the above, to turnoff the
Democrats like myself.. Of course the Livingstone resignation was
orchestrated as an additional push for a Clinton resignation..
And so on..

So what I'm afraid of is a dictator-type in sheeps clothing will
step up and win in 2000.. He or she will preach morals, religion,
military strength, etc with the hope that the Americans will be
so turned off by this current crap that they can take over.

Hell maybe Clinton is in on it.. (If you are going to have a
conspiracy line of BS, you might as well have a good one)

Hell, I don't know, I'm pi$$ed and depressed at the same time
about it..

the Coug

Re: Livingston resignation.... I suspect it is because for some reason he doesnt want all the specifics ( and I DO MEAN SPECIFICS) of each of these affairs broadcast on the internet for the world to see!

Can you believe that? Livinstone had an opportunity to promote his parties values as well as provide some good clean entertainment to the children of not only the US, the WORLD - and he chose to resign instead.

WHat a poor example of american citizenry.

<<Why is Livingston resigning? I thought he got a standing ovation from the family values party for cheating on his wife several times.>>

He got the ovation for coming clean instead of lying to the American People for month after month.

I've read some replies as this is a plot by the RR. Funny, but a few years back Gary Hart was forced to drop out of the primaries because he spent the night on a boat with a lady who was not his wife. Was that done by the RR? I seem to remember he was a democrat. Just for being on the boat. No lying, no mess on the dress, but he got the demo boot.
