bees, you think all the charts are going to scream... "time to sell" before a major crash? Doubtful. On the contrary, they will likely seem to be getting ready to break out to higher levels... except they never do and bomb instead, catching many off guard. The nature of a crash (by definition) is that most are surprised by the ensuing deline. With everyone using charts today for investing and relying very little on earnings or fundamentals, it seems appropriate t me, that most chartists would lose their shirt on the next decline. The signs will be there of course of weakness before the crash, just as they are there now. But those that are greedy will cling to "one last rally then crash" as they buy in at the top. Remember, those that buy at the top often times see trouble coming, they are just arrogant and think they can squeeze out the extra 5% or so on the top before it rolls it over and will know before everyone else when it is time to leave. Sorry, not for me. I respect the mkt too much.
