Jimbo,

I hate to admit it, but with EMC as with CSCO, my ultimate decision to buy [on Monday, for EMC], after trying to find out as much about a company as I can, comes down to a totally unscientific "gut feeling." Either I get one or I don't.

Although I have purchased shares in a number of companies over time, I've really only felt the, "I have to buy shares in this" without even considering the price three times: CPQ, in the mid-80s [when they first released the 386s], CSCO, and now EMC. If the cash was in a regular account, I'd wouldn't be dickering with price.

About as scientific as using a crystal ball or astrology but I'm hoping my good-luck with gut feelings didn't get burned-out with the CSCO pick.

Regards,

Lynn
