Wall Street Week guest media analyst from Merril Lynch
was gushing about cable companies for 1999.
She was not specific about services.
I also noted that she said studios were going to do less movies
next year. I conclude that movie goers will be staying home more
next year.

It looks like cable modems will still get first dibs. Those of us who
have or need a second phone line will drop it for access through
cable. This will be steady income for the MSO's at around $40 or so a month. Who ever owns VPN (virtual private Network) will kick butt next year as this is the best way to access your company's network.

Then will come the movies on demand with random income.

I think Port with his prediction of $100 million to build capacity
appears to be pretty close. CCUR may need that capacity if they
are leading the market this far and this fast.
