NP says Magellan wins contract Magellan Aerospace Corp MAL Shares issued 2,821,000 Jan 5 close $8.15 Wed 6 Jan 99 In the News The National Post reports in its Wednesday, Jan. 6, edition that Magellan Aerospace's engine division has won a contract potentially worth $45-million (U.S.) from Turkish Aerospace Industries. The National Post's Aerospace Briefing column says the contract calls for Magellan's Orenda Recip Inc. to supply up to 300 V-8 power plant kits, which will be made at its factory in Derbert, N.S. The engines will power a new type of single-engine plane for firefighting and agricultural uses. First deliveries are slated for the summer.
