Conflict of interest, perhaps. Anyone expecting to get an objective viewpoint on Amazon from meeker, given this incestuous connection, is kidding themselves. Of course the amount of hype (and additional market cap) Mary has thrown Amazons way certainly qualifies her for a seat on the board of directors of AMZN along with a nice options package if/when she decides to leave MSDW. ++++++++++++++++ Mary Meeker's former assistant is the Head of AMZN's Investor Relations. Gee, I wonder if she got permission to attend the private meeting with analysts?
