The fact that the company would seek to keep quiet the fact that they were raising money, even tho everyone knew they had none speaks volumes about old mgmts attitude towards the shareholders. I hope that has changed for the better.

Rights offerings are very expensive and also risky. They involve a full SEC filing with no assurance that any of the rights will be purchased. Usually a rights offering is coupled with a "standby" underwriter who sells the unexercised portion. TCLN could never get a standby underwriter. But hopefully that will change this year, too.
