Right, James. There was one MSNBC thing that was popular here a couple months ago, you'd vote yourself and see the internet tally, compared with the random sampling results. Everybody here crowed about the internet tally, but chose to discount the "idiot vote" represented in the random sample. Most politicians knew better, or at least played things close to the vest before the election. My recommendation was to use party affiliation as a proxy for views on impeachment, that turned out to be a pretty good indicator.

Then there's the "voice of the people", as indicated by tasteless SNL skits and Leno's ratings, but I'd prefer not to get into that one again.
