Actually Kip, a fair number of people have commented on Favors's analysis, usually by way of comparison. For example, we have compared Favors to Sew, Sew to Murphy, and so on. For my money, Sew is best on the day-to-day stuff. And when Don agrees with Favors, it is almost always a home run (I had my best day in puts when this happened). As for your claim about we law professors, 2 comments. First, undergraduate and grauate school types rely a great deal (I would venture more) on reproduced materials than do law types. Secondly, and more importantly, copy facilities everywhere have cracked down hard on reproduction of materials. As an author whose work is regularly reproduced, I applaud the efforts of everyone to see that we authors are fairly compensated. But I have given dizens of my colleagues around the world formal and informal premission to reproduce my work for free. There isn't enough money in it to make a difference. Heck, with one good trade, you'd make 10 times the omey you'd get on royalties. Finally, I think you've raised an important issue and, as we always do, we've had a decent discussion of the matter, and can move on from here.

Hi Kip, sure meant nothing personal I just wondered if you had checked dmp's SI profile. :-) BTW, I did check yours also.

Just thought it was interesting how reading the "ands" and "ors" in your reference would lead one to take most any position they wished to take. Why do you think attorneys write the law. Heck if it was cut and dried we would not need them. <g>(No offense meant dennis as I have a few friends who are attorneys....attorneys are just such fun to pick on.)
