<<<Congrats on watching a great movie. Leni Riefenstahl really had a gift>>>>

She certainly did and it is too bad she was black listed for the rest of her life.

That film is fascinating for a number of reasons besides her gift for filmmaking. I saw alot of people from different countries giving the Hitler salute but I don't think I ever saw someone from the US do it. I was particularly engrossed during the military competitions, especially the equestrian. Although, the German gold medal winner for the pentathalon sticks in my mind. There was a great shot of him in his military uniform as he made his shot on the firing range - I could literally see him puffing himself up with Nazism. I couldn't help thinking of a Jew being on the other end of that gun shot - it sent chills down my spine.

Be sure to see The Wonderful Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl, although I bet you have already seen it. 90 years old and scuba diving and directing an undersea documentary!
