<The reason I know Jesus's stand on homosexuality is because of the law given to Israel through Moses. This law was given to Moses by God. It is important for you to understand that Jesus and God are one. That He has always been with God existing in the form of God until He came to us in the form of a man. Jesus and God would not contradict each other but are always of one mind. When Jesus came He fulfilled the whole law therefore He kept and agreed with every statute. The law condemns homosexuality very harshly as it does adultery, beastiality and some other things.> Bob, Jesus said absolutely nothing about homosexuality, not one time, never. He did seem to think that committed relationships were very important. I think most people would agree that there is a very spiritual component in such a love, whether you are Christian, pagan or whatever. I accept that you BELIEVE that Jesus's stand on homosexuality comes down from Moses. However, there are two logical problems with that. First, many scholars argue quite compellingly that it was prostitution in the temples, not homosexuality, which was offensive in the Bible. There are lots of misunderstandings based on erroneous translations; the Bible was not written in English, after all. Secondly, it seems to me that if Jesus felt very strongly about something he would speak about it, and he did not. I think you keep forgetting that Jesus was not even a Christian. A bunch of people were struck by his charisma, and began worshipping him, but he is not really responsible for ideologies which grew up around his memory, often for ideological reasons. I think it is also important to remember that his name was not even Jesus. Do you know what his name was? From an encyclopedia article I just read, Jesus meant "savior" and was given to him later. I would be quite intrigued to find out his real name. The same encyclopedia article pointed out that he only preached for two years before his boisterous and rebellious attitudes caused him to be prosecuted and executed.
