What I find strange
however is how the US and Britain can carry on the attack without approval from China and Russia
who I believe are also members of UN Security Council.

They started it without their approval though they claim they are acting on the basis of resolutions in 1990/1991. Statements today by Clinton, Blair and Ramadan (Iraqi VP) all make clear that this war will go on intermittently for the forseeable future. The scenarios now are Russia, China, and France perhaps trying to get the sanctions lifted and violating them if they don't achieve that aim. The others are to see what happens the next time around in the Arab/Muslim world and its attitude to US interests. Also the risk of sympathy terrorist actions against US interests.

These scenarios are all far more important IMO to the investment climate than the impeachment process and self-destructing Republican Party.

Cents, the preparation and timing were wrong as they failed to properly explain and prepare some resistance against Saddam on the ground. See my post #reply-6908012
