Skeeter, I agree that you have to look at the underlying numbers of the Book-to-Bill ratio, and in fact I have been strenuously arguing exactly that point over on the "blood" thread. I also agree that it is useful to look at year-over-year results. History shows that in this industry, when the year-over-year results show strong growth, it is a good time to sell.

Skeeter, did you happen to look at that table that Gottfried posted? It shows that the time when the year-over-year bookings were the most favorable was Sept-Oct '97, which was the worst time to buy semiconductor equipment stocks!
