Are you perhaps arguing "Microsoft must be free to innovate", James? Perhaps you'd care to take on the Berst piece cited recently, even though it appears to be a Microsoft plant? How Microsoft Took the 'Win' Out of Windows zdnet.com How Microsoft is supposed to be some canonical illustration of markets at work is somewhat beyond me, but I'm skeptical about the application of economics to all spheres of life in general. I wouldn't want to get into the political philosophy thing when practical politics has gone so far off the deep end. I'll just note in passing that yelling "statist" about anybody who might hinder the noble Bill in his plans for world conquest is, well, not something that's worth much comment, unless you want to "debate" on the level of the other forum. Not me, I get enough of that over there.
