We need to increase voter turnout.
We now have the technology to allow secure voting from almost anywhere. (Call 1-800 vote for me). However I think it is important to have voting be a public act. It would be too easy to force people to vote (perhaps with a gun to their head) if it were done in secret.

I prefer an extended hours voting with the ability the change your mind up until poll closing time. The technology could be established to let people vote early, vote often,, but only the last one counts. Some limit such as Once a day or so would keep organized groups from monopalising the polls.
