All the bad news regarding Clinton and Iraq has been factored into the market. Considering how the Dow has dropped on these worries, I am predicting it will hit new highs shortly. I think the pre announcements are out and they don't seem to be coming from any big tech company although I still am concerned about Compaq hitting its numbers. I don't own the stock but if they warn for any reason, then there could be a couple of bad days.
All that cash on the sidelines needs a home. Watch the mutual fund managers jump in on any dip especially into blue chip tech stocks. I must admit that American Tech Stocks are very dominant in the world. Hey, I am hoping CSCO and Intel drop somewhat so I can get back in. I am trying to find a way to diversify (I have some cash to invest).
All my eggs are in one huge basket -- called Microsoft.
If we see a dip in MSFT in the next week and half, the opportunity to make a fortune on out of the money January calls would be too tempting for me.
However, for the reasons above, I don't think it will drop. IT IS ON A ONE WAY TRIP TO MOVE HIGHER AND HIGHER.
