You'd never mentioned it. That is a sad thought. They wouldn't burn up but they'd fly and fly and die before they got there. A lifetime spent in impossible quest. Gee, I think I'm depressed now. Gotta go, too, the troops are starting to get here. I need to figure out how to sneak in for a plate of food at some point. Are you gone yet? :)

I'd like to think they run into an oxygen starvation problem. This causes a pleasant delirium. When they wake up in a gentle spiral - they THINK they got there. And back.
Well, it's a possibility.
