Dennis, re:<<Then how do you explain this???>> Lets see, how do I explain the situation. First, Dell has approximately 1 billion shares outstanding. The stock is selling roughly at $70 per share. This gives us a market capitalization of around $70 billion. According to your posting, IBD said that 77 Mutual Funds purchased a total of $1065 million. Or, $1.065 billion. The 1.065 billion as a percentage of the $70 billion is 1.52%. So, the 77 Mutual Funds really bought very little of Dell's stock, and this is reflected in the daily trading volume, which has been low compared to the daily average volume. Further, you quoted IBD as saying, "There are 77 funds buying DELL for a total of $1065 million. Easily in the top 5 of the 130 for fund purchasing". This sure says that the remaining 125 Funds (130-5) were buying even less stock.

Please let me know it you have any other comments.

The number of outstanding shares were taken from my memory, so they may be off a little bit from the actual number, but not enough to make a difference.
