John,

I find your assertion that Microsoft will be down on
Monday to be equally as ridiculous and unfounded as
Ed's prediction that Microsoft will be up on Monday.

You provide no specific news items, and no underlying
reason for Monday's supposed move down. And besides,
unless you're a daytrader, what difference does it make?

And to go so far as to predict the exact prices that
Microsoft will be at on Monday is completely without
foundation.

Johnd,

Sure for each seller , there is a buyer at the same price , so the net flow of money is "0".

What I am saying is now there are more shares offered to be sold at the top price on these internet stocks than shares people want to buy, so the bid/ask will trend lower.
That means the total market value of these internet stock will keep dropping.
Those sold at higher price actually sucked money from the internet stock, and these money will go to the blue chip high tech stocks , that what I called money flow.
Of course , the total amount of money in the market available to buy stock will
drop year by year, because IRS suck 30% of the profit , say equals to 5% of the available money from the market every year.
