I don't see why he(Livingston) resigned as a representative, but I understand he needed to quit the speakership.

Why would he want the job? In six months his pension will give him a comfortable retirement. The House is going to have nothing to do while the Senate proceedings take place. The left-right power struggle of the republicans will intensify as they have no business to keep them occupied. Every member will have to watch their backs for Larry Flynt. It's not going to be a fun time for congressmen next year.

Les, just listened to the McLaughlin Group. John McLaughlin pointed out that Clinton gave the attack order, that he said was based on the Baker report, two days before Baker wrote the report. Baker, who hadn't been to Iraq was helped on the report by Clinton cronies.

Also, Clinton said he was after Iraq's nuclear bomb program. He had received a few days before a report from the IAEA that Iraq was "clean" on any nuclear bomb program.
