I have been seeing ADSL commercials on TV lately. They are really short adds for about 15 seconds and air late at night. The 1-800 number flashed up on the screen really quick so I couldn't write it down, and the Company offering the service started with a "V",....Veiodcom(sp?) or something like that. The price was for $144.00 per month. I am from the Chicago area. Looks likes ADSL may really happen in 1999,.....I sure hope so. I can't stand the waiting anymore.

<Definitely not committing to just one vendor.>

I agree & as I said before, shows what GTE knows. :} Man I love that part. Dmt what? MB, no doubt about a multi vendor when it comes to these internetworking Pros. I always wonder what the difference from an Ilec & Clec is. A separate sub? Must mean ISP of sorts? Anyway good work again. Your looking in the right places & I'm counting on you & all the others here to look from day to day. I cant w/ all the Y2k that needs done. Pretty slick how things disappear on that site only to show up later w/ an added twist!

Mb, I didnt download that pdf you posted on the Orctf thread & don't follow this as closely as I did last year. Thanks for keeping up with things. It will be interesting to find out if full Glite becomes a digital standard. I knew when bombs started flying that you would drop a few of your own. Thanks, it makes one think!

<What happened to that??>

All right, I'm busted! Would seem that this relationship is busted but given the adsl news Noretl has released, I wouldn't disregard the cable model maker Bay & other adsl makers for now. Not that Wstl still has anything going w/ Nortel. Ive got no problem with foreign makers for now but am still partial to U.S. made goods.

<If Dr. Tech is right, I believe the possibilities for financing (data integrator) could be LU, Nortel, or Fujitsu. Probably LU, IMO.>

I dont give it any substance after looking @ last years Jan filings but Id sure like to be wrong!
