Off Topic- Ice

Ice,

It appears that the senate will be unwilling to impeach Bubba, so a censure is inevitable. From what the talking heads say...a trial will start then a deal will be worked out. I don't see it having that much of an affect on the market, but I thought oil would be at $18 a barrel by now, so what do I know...ggg

It will be interesting to see what affect the resignation of Livingston will have on the market on Monday, since it happened on Saturday. Also it will be interesting to watch the oils on Monday...they may get hammered pretty good, since the 4 day punishment of Iraq evidently didn't do much damage to Iraqs ability to produce.

Paul

Sorry no opinion Ice. The market has been beyond all sensibility for the last year. I cannot read charts like the pros here so day trading is out for me. In the past the beaten down stocks 5 to 10 bucks are best for long term. Maybe a longer wait this time but oils will have to come back some day and lots of things like wars can alter this swiftly. How you can compare value of Amazon with Microsoft, Intel, Dell etc. is beyond all reason to me.Then KEG at less than 5 keeps dropping. Amazon keeps rising. Right now most all my friends and family have bought new computers digital cams cdr's etc. Seems to me might be some good plays there the first quarter.

For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would think the market will be affected by Washington. Emotionally, yes but only temporarely. Life goes on. The Senate will have a trial. Censure sounds like a good idea. But, the devil's in the details. Clinton and the Democratic Senators will never be able to agree on the language that is acceptable to them!! I firmly believe that at the end of the day Clinton will be outsted by the Democrats. They do not like him in the Senate. First the trial, then the hanging.

But it should provide loads of buying opportunities on a few dips in the next few weeks.

IMO.
