All pacemakers implanted prior to 1997 will stop working on the stroke of midnight 1999.....Timing chip is not Y2K compliant.

All hearing aids manufactured prior to 1996 will malfunction and emit a piercing 120 decibel sound wave directly into the wearers ear drum at the stroke of midnight January 31, 1999.

Pre-programmed coffee machines will go bezerk and start making coffee at midnight. (Not a bad thing actually considering all the drinking which will be going on.)

Police Radar guns will malfunction, therefore allowing speeding drunk New Years drivers to cause even more mayhem on the roads.

Computerized Taxi Fare meters will malfunction, giving New Years revellers free rides home.

And best of all, Y2K glitches will prevent Dick Clark from being beemed into the homes of millions of Americans.

etc.
