Agree with most of your comments about Nam. However to demonstrate in Moscow( supporters of the friendly folks who put up the Hanoi Hilton ) against US participation in Nam? Clinton was not having a principles problem as evidenced by the whitewater,FBI files, China, Travelgate, Paula Jones, Jennifer Flowers, et al: He is just a coward.To attribute that he has any principles ( having repeatedly betrayed the democrats, republicans, trade unions, wife, and family) is giving him a major promotion! The reason that veterans hate McNamarra is different from why the sixties protesters hate him. The latter thought the war itself was wrong; the former thought the war was right but were betrayed by those in the White House and later in the State Department.
