This award honors General Magic for excellence and innovation in integrated voice/data technology. More than ninety companies competed for the award.
CommerceNet, a premier industry association for promoting and building electronic global commerce solutions on the Internet, hosts the New Innovator Awards twice each year. These awards recognize companies who have made significant advancements in technology, applications, service or business processes for Internet-based electronic commerce.
General Magic joins a long list of prestigious award recipients from years present and past, including eBay, MilliCent (from Digital Equipment Corporation, a division of Compaq), Audio Highway, Junglee and Unwired Planet.
