I am not talking about democracy. Please name another country that has not had an attempted or completed military coup in the 20th century, save the UK. I can't think of any at this moment. DeGaulle was targeted several times by the military over the Algerian situation. Please do not forget Viet Nam when we talk about the Army not going where they don't want to go. It may be illegal for a serving military office to run for office. I cannot remember any, can you. Reserves and retired yes. Steve Davis
