Here is something about Tatat's foray into to the small car arena.I don't know how their car will be as they haven't come up with a successful model yet,unlike their trucks. I bought a Tata Estate when it first came out a couple of three years ago,it was good but too big for the Indian roads and had minor annoying problems. 216.32.165.70 PS:BTW R.K Narayan is from Tamil Nadu I believe.
