gee, bilow said that his company was scrapping their relationship with altr, at considerable cost, due to the excellent new product that xlnx just came out with. this is anecdotal, but combined with that and the fact altr was within $1 of its recent high and xlnx was about $5 bucks lower, i went with altr.

if more people switch to xlnx from altr then altr would get hurt worse. however, this may take nearly a year, if not more, to play out. not good for march options. however, it could play out sooner and i like stacking the deck even if i don't get a winning hand.
