Thanks for a most interesting site! I knew that DeLay was behind Linda Smith getting shafted in Washington State. Although she is a staunch conservative member of the Christian right she was guilty of the unpardonable sin of being in favor of campaign spending reform. So she got no money for her campaign. DeLay would prefer Patty Murray, a liberal Democrat in the Senate, than a maverick conservative Republican.
