MeDroogies,
I rode MFNX from 30 to 49 and then bailed out only to watch it go to 60 in a few more days. I'm a little puzzled by the huge runup and large short position. I don't understand the large short position, you think they would have covered when MFNX was around 20 or 30. According to Yahoo the float=8.5M and average volume=360K.
Shares short history:
11/20: 2.13M
10/26: 2.2M
9/24: 1.6M
8/21: 620K
7/20: 268K

I can't help you make the investment decisions but there are about
47M shares outstanding and the float is 8.5M shares. (Class A+B).

That doubles on 12/22/98 when the 2:1 is effective.

Hope that helps--
