How can anyone that believes in the rule of law rather than the rule of men disagree with this fact?

Impeachment and Removal is not a legal act. By that I mean it does not fall under the jurisdiction of a court of laws. It is a political act, it is governed only by those rules made by a majority of the houses of congress, with the exception of the final removal which is governed by a super-majority (2/3).

If this were a legal proceding it would have been summarily dismissed.
