*** OFF-TOPIC ***

As this seems to be turning into an informal survey, I pre-registered for Roadrunner through my local cable company here in Northern VA last week. The monthly cost is $50 (w/basic cable service) and $65 without cable service. 30Mbps downstream and T-1 on the upstream (?!), however these speeds are an aggregate figure and will be modulated significantly as a function of neighborhood penetration/usage.

My cable company Media General says they can provide by 2Q 99. I don't think MG is a TCI property, must be tied in cooperatively as ATT had announced a series of agreements providing near-universal coverage via RR.
