Maybe Dell smartened up and made their newer systems one piece. I bought my Dell 14 months ago and the side and bezel are separate parts. If you think about it, presuming a build up of enough dust eventually causes a problem, maybe Dell figured it was in everyone's best interest to make the bezel and side one piece to help avoid problems. My 3 year old Compaq was three parts; two sides and the bezel.

" Also, there doesn't seem to be ANY dust inside??"

ah, quit your bragging. <g>

seriously, i think whether or not one has a pet has a lot to do with potential dust buildup in the case. i've regularly cleaned dust bunnies out of the dell case that i use here at home. (our german shepherd always watches from afar, with a half-smile on his big face.) then recently i brought the other dell home from my office for my wife to use. there is very little dust in that case.

if i may be permitted to state the obvious (my forte), remember to follow manufacturer's instructions carefully whenever you "crack" a case. such basics as turning off the puter and peripherals, and touching an unpainted metal surface on the chassis before touching anything inside the case (to dissipate any static electricity), should go without saying. famous last words, huh?

happy holidays, everyone!
