I'm new to this thread, read some of the posts, but missed yours. Sorry.

I don't know how we get an honest debate on the issues. This thing has polarized the country worse than the race division of the 60s, worse than political correctness. Demonization on both sides. The Democrats are playing politics (protecting perjury) just as much as the Republicans are.

I don't hate Clinton, I think he could have been a fine president. But no matter how good he is, he's destroying the principles which I believe are our primary, if not sole, protection as a free people. I don't hate the man, but I surely do hate what he is doing to the country, all because he can't simply stand up like a man and tell the truth.

Ironic, isn't it, that both he and Saddam both have higher popularity ratings today?

There are two people who, if they stepped forward now, I think could bring a degree of rationality and calm this whole thing down: Robert "All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarden" Fulgrum or Colin Powell.

Oh well, it is said that a democracy gets the leaders it deserves. Those who hate our country are surely VERY happy today.
