**Off Topic (kind of...)

Fred,

Yes, that's what I'm thinking too. The farm papers are starting to give a lot of coverage to what is rapidly becoming an agricultural economic crisis. I haven't been following the situation in the US, but it's getting very serious among some of the commodities here in Canada (most notably pork as you mentioned). The government is moving into "support" mode to try to provide relief. As some of these commodities hit the bottom of their cycles, that is definitely going to have a negative spin-off effect on farm equipment and many other things as well (chemicals, transportation, construction). I think that a lot of non-agricultural people tend to underestimate how much of the total "economy" is agriculture-related. Here in Ontario, I believe that 1 dollar out of every 4 is considered to be related to agriculture in some way, and that that figure also relates closely to employment numbers. If I were considering picking up stock on any company that is even remotely ag-related, I'd be watching that part of the economy very closely in order to time an entry point. It seems to me that we're quite a ways from a "recovery" at this time.

Regards,
Croc
