I read your post.
I think that CPQ will make their revenues numbers but come up short on earnings. Not a gut feel but the result of analysis of COS and margin.

I'm now trying to work a strategy that assumes a 10% rise in both stocks in the next month.

Is there anything historical about this? Because we are seeing a pretty tremendous santa claus rally and Im inclined to think the jan effect is not going to be as pronounced. Which of course doesnt mean Dell and cpq wont move - but I just dont remember what the trend is.
