But that's the thing, Les. Campaign finance is like the S&L cesspool, where everybody's up to their necks in it. When Phil Gramm was running for president, he liked to brag about his fund raising prowess. Couple calls from his office, and another $100k in the bag, or something like that. When somebody mentioned the law on that, old Phil said something like "Did I say my office? It wasn't from my office". And that, essentially, was that.

As far as Teamsters go, with Jimmy Hoffa Jr. ascending to his proper hereditary role, I'm sure the Teamsters will be back in their proper place as the token Republican union soon enough.
