The next Speaker
In many ways, Hastert, 56, represents a throwback to the more civil, gentlemanly style that preceded the revolutionary zeal of outgoing Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., who led the GOP takeover of the House in the 1994 elections.

Hastert is the ''un-Gingrich,'' conservative pundit George Will said Sunday.

From U.S.A.Today

It would appear that incomming speaker Hastert, (along with the unprecidented approval rating for Clinton) will mark the end if this tempest. Hastert's legeslative specialty appears to be health care. He may try to create a bi-partisan approach on that subject in order to let tempers cool.

To All: QUESTION

Does anyone have any question as to why Vince Foster committed suicide or was killed?

After seeing all the corruption and deviousness that occurred he must have thought it was the easy way out.

Sad Sad Sad

Or the House is one of the worst Houses ever

Clinton approval rating up after impeachment

The same poll showed Republican approval dropped drastically. On Dec. 15-16, Republicans had a favorable rating of 43
percent to 47 percent disapproval, but this weekend that changed to 31 percent favorable to 57 percent disapproval.
