Actually, i have never noticed much of a smell at all from him, and he is strictly an outside dog...they live for water..so they get self washed pretty often...im sure if they get into some nasty bay mud they would curl your nose hairs a bit...they are the best dogs i have ever had...great with kids, love water, real mellow..pretty lazy..great hunting dogs..although i dont use him for that...im sure if i let him in the house he wouldnt move from in front of the fireplace....
