Searle, I was busy over the weekend(did some surfing Sat. night on some very classic uncrowded hawaiian reef/point stuff...ah, life can be good at times!) so I was amazed to see the postes that came down here. Lots of conflict. The DOW and Nasdaq rock n' rolled on friday and most of today. Quite a back off on the DOW and S & P at the end today. As for oil forecasting, the most accurate I have seen is Noesis. This guy is amazing. He has been so accurate that it is mind boggling. Here's his site.http://www.oil-gasoline.com While nearly everyone was predicting a bottom for oil this summer, he staunchly forecast 9-10 dollar oil this winter. I think WTI closed at 10.50 ish today with Brent well below that. Take a gander at his "Forecast" and be sure to read the details. Very interesting bar chart showing OPEC's lack of compliance. My good friend is from a 5 generation Iowa farm family. I say 5 but the 6th and 7th are at the farm, they just don't run it yet! they took a load of hogs in last week and were offered 10¢/pound. They actually have signs up at the farms now advertizing FREE HOGS since it is now cheaper to give one away than it is to ship it and sell it, much less keep and feed it! They have been on this farm since 1845 or so and this this the worst that it has ever been.
