Last I heard the latest proxy materials from LU were going to deal with an authorization for additional shares. I recall February being mentioned as the date for this mailing.

Remember, they announced the last split at $92; we're $10 over that now. It makes sense that LU would execute a split and then count on a quick run-up in share price, which would put them in an even better position merger-wise.

I wonder, actually, if LU would have to figure a split into their projections for a merger/acquisition? Interesting.

FWIW...I would think that LU would announce a split when earnings are announced on or around Jan 20 or the annual shareholders meeting on Feb 17th.
