I'm not sure I understand this. Can they do that? I'd think that sort of defeats the whole point of putting money in Dragon in the first place?

On a semi-unrelated note I went and bought the Dragon software, (betraying my LHSPF bet for which I might be punished in some weird way), and I was quite impressed. Till today, when I found it's useless if you're doing poetry (not mine; W.B.Yates, thank you) - it just cannot do the word contexts involved in poetry. The context engine also fumbles quite a bit when I use a non-standard idiom - say a paragraph or two out of Nabakov. Can anybody tell me - is there a listed company that works on language parsing? Other than the speech majors, that is. TIA.
