I would guess that the error correcting codes, display adaptors, and such would be different on a wireless system and thus entail a wireless ISP or convertor. If you are using the pdQ soley to link to a notebook computer, I would suppose you could bypass the wireless ISP processing. There might be pricing problems, however. I do believe that Sprint PCS will benefit from this development.

My understanding from a post on the Qualcomm thread is that the carriers will provide their own ISP. In other words, you will use a separate ISP.
