jhg.... here's the message I received from Infobeat on the DELL/AOL agreement. (sorry if this has already been posted)....

DELL COMPUTER (70-5/8, up 2-3/4 @ 11:01 ET) and AMERICA ONLINE INC
(114-1/4, up 10 @ 10:56 ET) announced a multi-year marketing
agreement to feature AOL on Dell consumer computers sold in the
U.S. and Canada. Beginning today, Dell will ship its Dell
Dimension and Inspiron systems with CDs containing AOL interactive
4.0 software, including 100 free hours in the first month of the
AOL service. Early next year, Dell users will be able to access a
pre-installed, customized version of the AOL 4.0 software that
features links to Dell's web services as part of Dell's
ConnectDirects program. "Our goal is to enable Dell customers to
be on the Internet within minutes of turning on their machines,"
said Michael Dell, Dell's chairman and CEO. For the full text

It might not take six months. If we wait that long for a split it could be a 3-1.
